AIR is an agent-security startup founded by ex-Unit 8200 operators Yair Saban and Niv Hoffman. The pitch is a “firewall for AI agents” — tooling that lets enterprises vet the third-party skills, tools, and add-ons (including MCP servers) that AI agents plug into internal systems. Two-Round $50M Seed Out of Stealth (September 1, 2026): The staggered $10M Sequoia → $40M Greenoaks structure is unusual for a seed and is closer in shape to a rapid pre-Series-A extension inside the seed round; explicit MCP-server vetting is called out in the pitch. Structural read: at the seed stage, the “who audits the tool surface an agent reaches into” question is now underwritten at top-tier VC scale — a change from six months ago when the same audit surface lived as an internal security-team side project.
